Will I earn my certification through this online course?

Yes. Upon successful completion of your exam, you will receive a digital and hard copy of your Certification card. Our courses are designed by practicing physicians and are based on the latest ILCOR Standards and Guidelines (2020). In addition, our courses meet the same guidelines and standards as the ECC and OSHA. It is your responsibility to clear online certification with your employer.

HCP is in no way affiliated with the AHA or AAP, nor do we claim to be. Our courses are developed by our own specialized team of doctors and nurses to provide you with the necessary skills and education you need. We do not work with the AHA or AAP in the creation or maintenance of our courses. We do, however, adhere to guidelines put forth by ILCOR so you can be assured that you are receiving the most up to date information when you purchase one of our courses.

Is your organization accredited by AHA?

This is a common misconception. The AHA is not an accrediting body. We are accredited by the Postgraduate Institute for Medicine (PIM). All courses are designed by practicing physicians, meeting the same guidelines and standards as the latest ILCOR guidelines.

Can I certify for the first time through this course?

Yes. The course is specifically designed for anyone requiring their initial Neonatal Resuscitation Certification or Neonatal Resuscitation Renewal. Our course was designed by ILCOR certified medical physicians. You have unlimited attempts to successfully complete the exam.

Can I renew with this course?

Yes. Our course offers the most current exams, which are always in accordance with the latest published standards and guidelines. Our course exams were designed by ILCOR certified medical doctors and are regularly updated to maintain compliance.

Do I have to be currently certified to take this online course?

No. You are able to obtain your Neonatal Resuscitation Certification or Renewal whether you are a new applicant or have allowed your certification to expire.

Does your course require a clinical skills check?

No. Our course is 100% online. You may still sign up for our service, but if your employer requires a skills check then you are responsible for satisfying it.

Do I receive a Certification card if I pass?

Yes. Upon successful completion of an exam, you will receive a printable, digital certification card recognizing your successful completion of the respective course. Hard copies of provider cards are sent daily. Please allow 5-7 business days, depending on your location, to receive your card.

How long is my certification valid?

Your certification is valid for two years from the date you successfully completed the course.

What do I need to complete this course?

To complete our courses, you will need a working email address, home address, telephone number, and credit card.

How quickly do I get my exam results?

Immediately. You will have the results following submission of your exam. If you achieved a passing score, you will receive a digital copy of your certification card immediately, and your hard copy will arrive via mail within 5-7 business days, depending on your location.

Where is my Digital Certification Card?

Your Digital Certification Card will be available immediately after successfully passing an exam on your My Account page under the My Completed Courses tab. You have the option to either print or download your card and certificate.

Is there a time limit for the exams?

No, there is no time limit. You can take the exams at any time and from any location. You can also save your progress in case you get interrupted.

What happens when I pass or fail an exam?

If you achieve a passing score on the exam, results are immediately shown within your account and you will be given access to the digital copy of your certification. Exam results are also sent to your email address. The hard copy of your certification card will arrive by mail within 5-7 business days, depending on your location.

If you do not achieve a passing score on the exam, it’s no problem. You can reset the test and try again. There is no limit to how many attempts you may have and there is no additional charge.

What if I don’t pass an exam?

You are allowed unlimited exam retakes at no additional cost.

Will I receive Continuing Education credits after passing an exam?

Yes, online renewal courses or training classes adhere by the latest published standards and guidelines. Self-directed online education is eligible for category 2 CME credits. See the guidelines of your organization for claiming the credits you have earned. You will receive 11 credits for Neonatal Resuscitation Certification Course and 8 credits for the Neonatal Resuscitation Renewal Course.
